B16 Chugs then turns off??
i was driving my SiR in 3rd at about 4k rpms getting rdy to shift and it started to chuggin like i was driving slow as hell in 5th gear (but i wasnt) i pushed the clutch in rpms stablized so i put it back in 3rd adn then it did it again and then the engine turned off on me, when i try to start it up it just seems like no fuel is getting to the engine hense the engine not turning over, im 99% sure that the fuel pump went out but i just wanna double check and not get stuck buying a part i didnt need and also, if it is how difficult is it to replace? thx for ur help
ok so i loosened teh hoes that goes from the pump to the filter and fuel squirted out strong, i pinched the hoes that runs from teh filter to the fuel rail and that had good pressure when trying to start aswell, i checked the spark plugs and they all looked good, wheres teh main relay? and any other ideas? incase its not the main relay either? thx for the posts

alrightie well i had no spark, i checked it with new spark plugs and still all 4 no spark so im gonna try replacing the distributor unfortuniately, i appreciate ur help guys hopefully its the distributor and not a messed up wiring harness
i woudl not just go out and buy i new distributor if i were you. big waste of money when 99% or the time its a 40 dollar part inside of it. its obviouse that you dont know alot about this stuff but just keep asking questions or search and you will see that honda distributors go out almost daily. lol. it could be as simple as tightening one screw to your rotor. just take the cap of the distributor and check the little round plastic thing make sure it doesent wabble or go on and off. pm me if you want some more help.
ur right i am a newbie but i already did that, the cap was brand new i checked it ne way it was good, the hole where the ignition coil is had some corrosion but i cleaned it off and that didnt help i disconnected the 3 wires inside near the rotor, that had alot of corrosion on it and that didnt help either, the rotor was fine and the screw that holds it on was fine... unless im missing something which i probly am that i could check to see if its something stupid id be more then willing to hear some helpful tips

yeah you could just have a bad rotor or cap and those are easy cheap replacements that won't cost very much.
