I've been using Mobil1 10w 30. But after reading up on things a bit I am thinking of switching to Valvoline Max Life. It supposedly has better anti-wear characteristcs and is cheaper to top it off. My car just burns Mobil1 way too fast, so a switch is worth a try.
An oil you may want to consider is Schaeffer's 7000 blend with soluble molybdenum disulfide. It costs less than Mobil 1 and in my opinion is a better oil for what most of us use our ITRs for. I use it in my ITR.
http://www.bobistheoilguy.com is a great site for oil information.
Also, the person who posts by the name of Bror, Jace has a wealth of good oil information.
Schaeffer's products are not available in stores. Go to http://www.schaefferoil.com for more info on their products.

omg not this again.
castrol gtx, will never use mobil 1 again. the b18c has a damned good amount of miles on 5000-7500mile oil changes with gtx, makes more power for the mods it has then 90% of the graphs i've seen, doesn't burn much at all (0.25 quart/day at sebring vs 1-2 qt/day mobil 1 in other integras). and after switching to mobil 1 in my boosted car it spun a bearing.. and after asspenny switched to mobil 1 he spun a bearing in his r... coincidence?
just random occurences i'm sure, but surely doesn't make me wanna spend an outrageous amount of $$ on oil i have zero good experience with and a lot of bad experience with... D's car also burns less after dumping his mobil 1 addiction.

I'm still using the factory recommended 5w30 is that bad?
in the south we can use single weight oils
Just curious what kind of oil everyone uses. I use Mobil 1. Is there a better oil?
I use mobil 1 10w30 but may switch to castrol GTX 10w30 cause the mobil 1 is too expensive.
Does anyone run Amsoil? They are supposed to out-perform every oil in the U.S. The only down fall is that it's very expensive!
Redline! Tests have been performed (note: Not by Redline) to look at which oil gives better protection. On ITRs, the big problem is A) Heat, and B) Bearings (info from OPM and King Motorsports). The test looked at everything including heat. The results, Redline had the highest heat (thermal) protection than any other oil. Does anyone know how hot it get in the combustion chamber? Granted Redline is expensive, but think of it as added insurance. If you don't believe me, you can ask Phat S, SVT Cobra, Shultz, Catch 22 (I think they were all in on the eMail that was forwarded to us). My $.02, take it for what it is worth...
