Autozone does rent out a little ball joint press to use though for the D.I.Y. Job.
well idk if this is the smartest way but it wroked for me. i just seperated the lower ball joint from lca by prying on it and it comes out of the lca then i pulled the old ball joint boot off cause it wasnt going to be reused then i hammered on the ball joint so it would pop out then pushed my new one in and i was done. very easy DIY. gl

yea i might use that to do it myself since my crx is not running to take it to a shop. shouldnt be too difficult anyway. Just looking for a little walkthrough.

I got a c-clamp rental with 23 cups, and a fews jaw pullers but still can not get the Ball joint off.
The stud is too loose. I think I will take out the knockle tomorrow in the light and beat the crap out of them.
I put the new BJs in the freezer,
Should i lube the joints and control arms?
Any tips or tricks??
thanks

I just beat them with a nice mallet, a couple hits and they come out. clean up where it came out then put the new one in and put a piece of wood(so you dont damage your new ball joint) on top and hammer it back in.
i just beat the sh*t out of them with a hammer until they came out, and did the same to put them back in. i tried to not dent the top to much, i didnt think about using a piece of wood.
I just did mine a couple days ago
Take your entire hub assembly out of the car of course, just remove the c'clip i used a flat head and a knife. after that i put the top part of the hub up against a wall and beat it out, i popped out in about 3 hits. I just used a vice and a couple peices of pipe to push the new ones. I used the pipes in a similar way to the balljoint installer remover, its actually easy
