Default need help with my h22a swap, not running smooth (videos)

ok so like every one else and thier mom who has done a h22 swap i got the idle problem. it started off as a surging idle, so I searched and ended up fixing it, then it didnt surge anymore but was ideling too high to so back to searching, and worked that out.

However now I have a lumpy idel and im going to put videos below (they kind of suck I took them on my cell phone) but this happened directly after putting my iac back on after cleaning it. I used some k&n intake cleaner and then rinsed it out with water, I let it dry out but im thinking maybe not long enough and possibly a small ammount of water might have gotten into the engine and this might be causing it?

I also have no knock sensor (i have one on the way) but as I understand it this is only to detect a knock and should not have a huge effect on how my car runs, at least not at idle.

i was looking at the EGR in the service manuel i got from 92lude.com and there are no instructions on how to clean it, tho I've seen this suggested in some posts i searched and was wondering exactly how you go about doing this?

I have adjusted the idle screw on the TB, done the FTIV mod and as i said before cleaned my IAC, vaccum leaks have been checked for the gaskets were replaced and i re tightened all of the bolts on the IM, basiclly if it has been suggested in response to an idle problem, I've done it.

so it doesn't surge, it doesn't idle too high it hesitates when i hit the gas and does this:

taking a break for dinner just wanted to get some other opinions before I go back out to the garage to work on it some more

heres links incase i put the videos on the page wrong

so you have no check engine lights? are you using the obd1 345cc injectors with a resistor box?

start by making an egr block off plate, it will help eliminate alot of possible problems.

knock sensor shouldn't be your problem. what ecu are you using?

the only thing that comes up is the knock sensor, I'll do some research on the egr block plate and try and get that going today. I'm using a jdm p13, or so I was told it was jdm but i looked at the #'s on he ecu and it is a p13. the injectors are what came on the engine, i doubt there anything crazy the engine came with an automatic tranmission. I'm really not sure about a resister box but I am doubtfull that i dont have it hooked up... the car ran very smooth when the idle was too high.

the more things that i try which have no effect is kind of leading me to believe it maybe possibly water in the engine doing this... but it would have been hardly any that got in.

new links: hopefully these work

Pull out your spark plug wires why the cars running one at a time and see if the idle changes. One the one that doesn't change your getting a misfire. Could be the resistor box wiring or clogged injectors. make sure you can hear all of your injectors clicking.

This is most likely completely wrong, but one time my old mazda did that. Engine shook real hard. I took it to a local shop and they told me that the butterfly valve was stuck open or something like that. They did some sort of engine treatment to it and told me to find a piece of open road and Run it real good to break loose the buildup. It seemed like that fixed it partially but after replacing the spark plugs and the plug wires and makeing sure they where all gaped right everything went back to normal and ran great. So thats just my experience. You might try some injector cleaner or something that might break up some buildup. Just my .02 cents.

well the wires are relatively new, thier the ngk blue ones, I switched the cap to the one i had on my last h22a, which worked, and tried useing different plugs... but before i did all of that i tried disconnecting the plug wires 1 at a time to see if it was a misfiring plug and the first one i dissconnected #4 caused the engine to stall, so I put it back on and it wouldn't start. so I took out all the plugs, they looked fine, and tried cranking it over a few times from the crank pully, thinking maybe it had too much gas in the cylinder, but it still wont start.

update: I'm an idiot

I went thru checking everything that could possibly be causing this and of course the last thing I checked was the problem. I switched wiring harnesses for the injectors to use the ones that were already wired to my car instead of the cut harness on the swap and the clip that attatches the sensor the the top of injector #2 wasn't on properly and it had become disconnected from the injector. Re connected it and that took care of it.

all of you who said misfire were dead on

thanks much for all the help
