my friend's 93 civic's dash light cluster is out, if you hit the dash board sometimes they will blink or go back out then out again, so the bulbs are good. I am thinking there is a short somewhere. Im a VW person so i dont know anything about this civic. A point in the right direction on what to check would be great. All fuses are good

it might be the headlight switch or the dimmer switch...

 

so would the switch itself be bad or is it a connection thing

 

mine use to do that... it was the dimmer switch. I got one from a junkyard for somewhere around $3-$5.

 

anyone have one they are selling?
is it generation or year specific?

 

just get one from a 92-95 . Try a local junkyard

 

ok thanks! i just took it out and gave it a blow and it works! at least for now. there are a bunch for sale on ebay. thanks for your help
