Your 19....thats why. Try progressive, usually they are cheaper for younger people. Trust me it gets better with Age. That doesnt help you now, but just know it does

If you're inclined to save money, have it under your parents name and add you as an additional driver. At $400/month, I would do it.

Agreed on the putting the car under the 'rents name.
It may not be completely legal, but you can put your parents has the main driver under the car. Cheaper insurance for you, and if you get into an accident, it's not like they can say "You aren't the main driver, we aren't paying for it" or whatnot.

West Coast rates are unreal. In seattle at 19 I paid 365 a month for my altima. Now I pay 140ish a month for my fg2 at age 26.

Dang thats alot. I pay 170 a month on my coupe. I thought it would be cheaper cause you have a 4DR.

That's a LOT of money per month. I pay less than that for my 2 cars.
