i hit a possum the other day, and cracked the front bottom lip of my bumper. it's not very noticable but i looked really close and noticed that the paint is starting to flake a tiny bit. Knowing that last time my bumper was hit the paint came off eventually, i want to prevent this. what's the best way to preserve the paint while not being very noticable? i'm not trying to cover up the crack, i just don't want the paint to flake. thanks!

 

If it's small enough, you might try using some touch up paint, so it won't spread.

 

You had your front bumper replaced painted, right? The body shop was probably was cheap and didn't use enough flex adhesive or cheap primer.
