Now ive been searching around and havent been able to find any information pointing to anyone who makes one or even anything close. I measured from piller to piller and came up with 4ft 71/2inches. does anyone know if maybe the Prelude or other honda come close to that measurement. And has there been a definitive answer found on what may work as a c-piller bar, there was some talk about maybe one from a DA would work but i dont remember if it was proven.
yeah DA one works megan racing came out with on i think on streetrays.com its only ike 30 shipped and then theres the Mr.Alex bar thats like 200+shipping =P

You looking for something like this... ?

Just do a Google search for "Sparco harness bar", lots of site are found that sell it. Don't know if they have something that fits Accord though.

i been there, they dont have anything for the accord. but they do for the more commen plateforms, thats why i was wondering if anyone knew of something close to that measurement.
err dunno but i know the cpillar one for sure some dood has it on this accord in the pic thread...uhh b pillar i highly doubt your going to find one since our cars are super old now...they used to have parts chargespeed made it but never saw it again....ummm damn now that i think of it you must sit really straight up haha i thought about using a b pillar bar but my head would hit it...but try c pillar bar and line it up to b pillar see if it would fit

You are correct that it is not designed for it - the "sheer" forces placed on the C-pillar with a harness bar are considerably different than with a seat belt, assuming that you are not 2" tall and have the harness shoulder belts at the proper angle.

Our cars (honda accord) are all "unibody" frame... so, anything that helps reinforce the chassis is very welcome.
I just got one C-pillar bar from a HT member called "jdmk20R" or something like this... his avatar is a little white RSX on it. Paid 50 bucks shipped.
But yeah, body roll is constant on unibody cars, and upper strut bars, C pillar bar and such will help reduce that flexibility of our vehicles (unibody).

I used to have that same c-pillar bar on my accord, got it from the same guy, funny
I recently upgraded to an EM Racing C-pillar, might be the first accord to have one of those

Just a question, but I thought harnesses were supposed to be mounted higher than that or they could cause harm in the event of an accident?
right, thats what I thought.
Something to do with it could compress your spine in the event of an accident if it's mounted lower. I can't remember exactly but it's something along those lines.
