THanks Honda tech

I have a gsr in mine now..What do you think about a H22 (220hp)?? Is it worth it?? Full long block for $800?? Give me suggestions especially if you or know someone who has done the swap. Thanks again.

its more work then a b swap.

hasport and also explicitspeed make the mounts and various parts to make it work.

searching would be the best bet.

both explicitspeed and 2point2 have full therads with hundreds of replies.

i would leave the gsr in there and if ur looking for more power, do a turbo or some headwork on it.

It'd be excellent for drag racing. Too front-heavy for anything else. As for if it's worth it, only you can answer that question.

^^ How much heavier is a H22A1, from say a B16, or any of the B series motors? Last I heard they aren't that much heavier, probably around 30-50 lbs.

I have no opinion on the explicit speed mounts, but I will say to avoid the HASport ones. I think the H22 EF kit they have is their worst one, by far. It's a shame, really.

Try driving one before you say things like this. Mine handles great, and since I put a good suspension in (Koni + GC) at the same time, it sure doesn't feel nose-heavy.

I would say defeantly run the ExplicitSpeed mounts. Im running them in my 93 teg with the H22. great mounts, no weird vibrations, engineered great. also am runnin the ExplicitSpeed Traction Bar I would say get one of those too!! and plus i trust steel mounts over aluminum anyday.
