Can you turbo charge a K24 accord?
I have an 07 Accord Coupe 2.4 and I'm thinking about a turbocharger.
I found a few postings with a some options:

Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions to point me in the right direction? Or if you know of any other kits out there?
Thanks
Mike

Not yet. There is a company here in Lexington Ky that has a kit for the '03-05 but it appears that the throttle by wire computer system will put a hold on the newer cars for a while. Maybe Hondata will get involved soon.
I heard from someone that installing a turbo on an engine with a high compression ratio could potentially blow the engine. Would I have a problem with installing a turbo on my car? Are there any other mods I can do to strengthen the engine so that it could handle a turbo? Or would a supercharger be the more ideal way to go?
build the bottom end with forged pistons and rods and you should have no issues with blowing motors. boosting a stock motor is running on borrowed time, eventually something will fail, most likely a piston ringland.
you may have problems finding any engine management for it however, aside from a piggyback like the e-manage.

I just saw something the other night where a guy was running a boosted element off of a RSX-S ecu with Hondata. There was some conjecture that an accord could be run the same way since the elements k24 is close to the accords.

I'd rock a boosted element

I guess its theoretical that you could boost a k24a8 if you swapped the TB with a k24a4. I myself have my car being built (done in less than two weeks I hope) and a 5spd swap on a stock motor. There have been people that have ran 30psi on the k24 bottom end in civic hatches for awhile before blowing them. 10-11psi is the general consensus on a k-series block as far as safe boost level. I myself am only looking for 7psi before I get more money to open up the head and block. I'm using a custom harness piggybacked through a 02-04 RSX PRB ECU and kpro.
