Default Regarding VIN # On Tranny

they started putting vin # on the bell housing on the tranny starting on 99 itr's
yes or no?

In 1996 Honda started putting VIN plates on Civic and Integra blocks and trannies as well as the body parts.

in Canada it started in 2000 and in the USA it started in 1996.

Keep in mind though, that the Canadian 1996-1999 trannies do have the holes for the rivets of the VIN

It started in 1999 in Canada.

in Canada it started in 2000 and in the USA it started in 1996.

Keep in mind though, that the Canadian 1996-1999 trannies do have the holes for the rivets of the VIN
