I installed my stereo almost a year ago now. 3 amps, and 2 big kicker L7 subs. I would say it all weighs around 250 lbs. The back end of my 01 accord is now starting to sag pretty bad. I've been wanting to lower the car, and tell you the truth, the back end is sitting right about where I want it, about 2" lower. It just looks very strange because the front is still the normal height. Anyways, would this be affecting the rear camber at all? With more than stock weight in the back, what options do I have for lowering the car and getting it to sit even? I was thinking about going with a shock/spring combo to lower it, but I'm afraid if I don't get adjustable parts, it will still sag. Air ride is not an option, this is my DD.

my 98 did the same thing, im not sure if it did tamper with the tire ware(but my tire looked like it diped a lil inside). I redid my springs and struts and only had a 1.5 drop all around.

the First day my car was back to stock with the new springs, i was like wth? after a week it went back where i started ..haha

My rear springs where just worn out

 

well do you think a good shock/spring combo will hold up then?

yea, aftermarket springs should give you a boost in the **** end. seems to me with all the weight in the trunk, the stock springs are not up to task. id def. go with something a bit stiffer.

and as for camber, yes your tires will wear funny if the sagging rear is prolonged. the suspension geometry wasnt necess. meant to have subs and amps above it.

 

Is it possible to get a much stiffer spring and still a lowering spring though? Any recommendations?

 

im still pretty fresh to suspension ill admit, but myaybe you should give ground control a CALL tell em what up, and they (i wish, maybe idk) should be able to point u in the right direction

from what ive heard GC does their shizzle completely custom using eibach springs...

U can call GC and get custom spring rates... they are baddass

 

what do custom setups run from them? I don't have an arm and a leg to spend!
