Do we apply? I heard some hondas have odometers that are running too fast...

Starting with 07 Honda said it has "tightened" their odometers to relfect a 0 percent center. This is opposed to what Honda says as their odometers being accurate within 3.75%. The vehicles effected with the issue are hondas and acuras bought from April 13,2002 to November 7,2006. I am assuming this is all models also. Not a big deal until you talk about leasing and warranty issues, that's why a class action law suit was filed. Honda is now extending warranty mileage by 5% and will pay for overage miles on leasing. Check out the article! Just giving a heads up. </TD></TR></TABLE>

A plaintiff brought suit against Honda that the odometers were reading high. The error was less than 3% or so. This developed into a huge class action suit. Honda settled it by offering refunds for some of the 'excess' mileage charges on leased vehicles, and a restitution for repairs that should have been covered in the 1200 miles or so after the original warranty ran out. The original plaintiff gets a check for 10 grand towards the purchase of a new Honda. The lawyers get 9 million bucks. You will probably get nothing. (BTW, you should have gotten a letter if you were involved.)
I thought I read in the letter that the car's within the time frame get an additional 6k miles or so added to the 36k warranty.
Hm... Nice to know
Well I bought My car at the end of apirl 2006 and I already have 20k, you guys think there's something wrong????

The main thing about this is when someone goes to trade or sell the car. Unless you have the letter in hand you with loose some extra $$$. Even with the letter I think it will still affect the value.
who cares, by the time i have that many miles, i will have put aftermarket parts that void the warranty. I mean i know its wrong of Honda if this is true, but a lot of people that own 06+ civics want to add hp as soon as they get the car.
