Default Halp wit my b16a problems....ef civic 0bd0

i had just put a b16a into my 90 ef civic and used the stock ECU and ran all the V-Tec Wiring but for some reason the check engine light comes on and bogs out the car when i floor it it stops at 3000 Rpm's and backfires, my distributor is making weird sounds..... cant b good n e help????

Check to see what code your throwing. Count how many times the little red light blinks on your computer. Then check to see what number it is: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1901557
Don't pay attention to the procedure from that thread it for a newer civic.

I just noticed you said your using the stock computer. Thats one of the reasons why your car probably hates you right now.

did u get a new computer with your swaP??? if your using the old computer orginaly from the car that is prob. numa one. You alos might need new sparkpulg wires and spark pulgs

are you using the stock CRX computer or pr3 for the b16a? if computer is right

you might need new
plugs
wires maybe dizzy is bad
chekc all those out

Wf dumass mechanic told me the ecu was a stock 1 and it really is a pr3 i dont know how to check the engine codes and i dont think the 2nd 02 connection is wired thanks for the help tho

hmm not sure is this is the problem but i got a chiped ecu and one side of the burnt chip was out and the other side was in, guess in shipping it popped out. but the car would only rev to 3k.
