First things first, that's not a mugen lip, mugen has not released any lip for the FG. if u read closely to the 'EBAY' description, it says,"<U>Mugen style</U> or M-style lip." dont be fooled by cheap 95$ lips.

ABS plastic won't last at all compared to OE quality.

Go with the HFP kit because the "Mugen Style" one doesnt seem to flow with the lines of the car.

My $0.02

HFP of course...i bought one of those "fake mugen" lips for my 99Si (ABS Plastic) and it was junk, i ended up reselling it. Stay away from bootleg stuff, even though it might be a bit different from everything else, you're going to get aggrevated with the fitment and quality.

But OEM is made from ABS plastic. The difference is there is a large amount of engineering that goes into making the OEM lip, the eBay fly by night variety.....not so much quality or engineering.

i would definitely go with HFP because it is already painted and it can be covered under warranty/insurance. even though it says $85, add the $70 for shipping, and another $100 for paint (maybe more) and u are already looking at the same price is not more than HFP. its always up to the owner of the car as to which one he/she would like to go with. i would just stick with what looks nice. and when people say "i want something different. everyone has teh HFP kit" look around next time u are out driving and notice how many of them have it. i have seen about 7 si's in memphis, and not a single one of them has the kit. i have only seen one FG with the hfp rims, and it was an EX. again go with what YOU want and what YOU think looks best. just giving my opion

How much did you pay for the "mugen style" lip kit if you dont mind me asking?

Of course it's worth it, if it's part of your montly payments, but to shell out almost $1,000 for a lip kit?? i'd rather buy a bad *** suspension setup

$195 for the front/rear... (long story but who knows if i've just been completely scammed ) but I was told I would have it last weekend. My GFs dad is a body/fender man, so i got the paint matched side of that already hooked up

The lip kit was closer to $880 and I bought it after the fact so I'm definantly not paying for it monthly. Its "worth" comes down to opinion I suppose.

But considering the fit and finish of the HFP setup I have no regrets
