Well I'm hoping to respray my car this spring/summer. However, I'll probably be getting it done where I work (conversion van factory) and therefore more then likely won't be pulling the engine for paint. I'm trying to think of colors that won't clash the milano red too terribly when the hood is popped. I was really diggin' the root beer brown colors but not sure how horrible that would look. Any thoughts/color suggestions to get the mind rolling would be appreciated. Never thought a color would be such a HUGE decision, haha.

I did actually consider this and its not ruled out yet. Thanks for posting.

 

Paint the bay with the engine still in there...just pull everything off the sides and walls and cover the engine. It can and has been done.

Hmmmm, thats a possiblity. Something I'd have to talk over with the paint guy. I don't necessarily HAVE to have a color change, it was just an option I was weighing. I was inspired by Mike Egdamin's Civic in the Feb. 06 issue of Super Street(gag I know, haha). He had his interior and bay sprayed candy apple red and his exterior done in frost white. It actually looks pretty cool. Not sure if I'm feeling white though.

 

different colored bays look weird to me, i dont like them..

keep it the oem color
