What size bolt / washers would I need in order to raise my car hood?
I'm about to make a trip to home depot, and I was wondering what would bolt would I require in order for me to slant my hood just maybe a inch?
I was told to just use a nut & a bolt and my hood will raise up just fine. My hood is a ViS Carbon Fiber hood for a 99-00 Civic Hatchback.
What size / specs? I've tried searching couldn't find anything related.

Its not rocket science. I think your hood bolts are 8x1.25 (10 mm head). So you just need to find some washers that fit around them. If still in doubt.. take one of your hood bolts off and take it with you.
nylon spacers will do the trick they are probably in the little shelves that they have there and then get the appropriate length 8x1.25 bolts like egsalad said

Thanks a bunch sherlock. I was already going to do that. Smart guy. I think you deserve a reward.
Jackass of the year.
And thanks, going to go pickup some bolts/washers later. (I didn't get to go to home depot, stuff came up)

Why the nasty comment? Was there a need for that? I do believe you were the one who asked the question in the first place, and 1jdmferio answered you as best as anyone else would have. Your basicly asking us "what size nut will fit my bolt". Well heres my Solution thats the same as 1jdmferio's
Take the bolt inside with you and use a thread checker to see what size you have. Based on that conclusion you can make the decision on what nut would best do the job.
BTW, nice job making yourself look like an asshat. There are about 50 million threads on this subject and how to do it. Try searching! What a novel idea!

I wouldn't have to be a dick if he wasn't a dick in the first place. With his big bad "Doesn't take a rocket science" remark. I asked it so I wouldn't HAVE to do that. But apparently you asshats love making things difficult. (No offense to those who really actually do helping)
Funny thing is, I DID search, and there were no results.
