Rough Idle At Start-up during cold.....
What would cause my 00 jdm itr motor to idle very rough the first 30 seconds of a start-up during cold weather? It idles rough and low rpms once its started when its coldoutside, after 30 seconds of it spazzing it will begin to idle like normal and eventuall be smooth as ice'
now when its warm out it starts right up and idles like oem
car was tuned a few months ago and everything besides this idle issue is perfect'
00 jdm itr swap
i/h/e
hondata
msd
skunk 2 stage 1 camshafts
skunk 2 cam gears
also, today it took a ridiculous amount of time for it to start, usually it starts first crank, today i had to try cranking it over for like 20 seconds and it started but idled rough and died....tried again and gave it some gas/rpms for 20 seconds and then the idle got smooth and its running good'
just wondering why it idles so shitty when its coldoutside and start-up time blows, but a few seconds after its running its smooth and strong.' I was going to pull the plugs later on today, there ngk's. Its a very low mileage and healthy motor, strong compression and strong dyno results. But this cold start-up thing is annoying'

Your fuel compensation parameters for cold start are too lean. If you can tune your hondata, you should try adding a tiny bit of fuel to the ect fuel correction factor around the temperature which you are having the starting problems.
