ECU for B20b swap?
Hello i have been searching everywhere for an answer maybe yall can help. I am about to swap a b20b into my 95 hatch. It already has an ls swap but my question is what computor can or do i need to run the b20b? is it cool to use the ls or do i need to get it tuned? i plan on leaving it non vtec. Thanks in advance for any help
I run the stock computer, injectors in my '90 Integra with a jdm b20b. The car runs and idles like factory. My car is bone stock though, even the exhaust right now. It still needs to be fine tuned and eventually i'll be going with a chipped ecu, this was just to get the car on the road.
Stock LS Ecu is fine just make sure you have a jumper harness for it. Incase you dont know thats a harness that will take your OBD-2 motor and make it alright to use in a obd-1 vehicle w/out swapping over distributors and the other stuff (if any??) into your chassis. They are like 50-70 dollars on here and you just plug it in to your wiring harness before your ECU.
I went the cheap route with mine and used most of my stock parts including the obd0 distributor, stock injectors in the b20 rail, b20 fpr and stock exhaust manifold.

You can technically use a stock LS ecu (obd1 92-95 PR4/P74/or P75 ecu will plug right in to your EG) to power your B20, altho you won't be running the motor at its fullest potential because of lack of true B20 fuel/timing maps.
But if you want to run the B20 at its full potential in its stock form without any kind of ecu reprogramming, I suggest running a B20 ecu via OBD1-OBD2 jumper harness.
