Default Misfiring...

so i cant win with ignition systems. I am yet to have a dizzy that works 100% right since i bought the car.

But now the car is sputtering while driving and is worse around 5k rpms. I mean I can still nail the gas in 2nd gear and it will sputter here and there till redline.

But Im thinking it wouldn't make sense that the wires or plugs could be at fault since the car idles fine and drives normal? I might be way wrong....I haven't had a chance to go out and buy new plugs yet.

Im thinking its prolly the dizzy. I might meet up with Ed tomorrow and grab his dizzy real fast to see if thats the problem, but the engine sounds fine, so my issues should be limited to the dizzy, wires, and plugs yes?

You'd be surprised. What are the miles on this dizzy? Have you busted out the helms to check the primary and secondary coils? The coils will be intermitent like that, then eventually fail.

Check the Thermostat housing ground....most important ground on the car.
