Rough jerking around 2000rpms?
So i've got an interesting problem. The car is a 1999 Honda Civic EX, manual trans. In first gear (out of the clutch) around 2,000rpm when I "flutter" on the gas (when going through a parking lot or somewhere that you don't mash on the pedal), the car will almost die and then will jerk violently back and forth. At the same time, I'll try to accelerate to keep it going when I feel like its dying and it'll be a delayed response. Ill push on the pedal and the car is almost stuck (the like gas pedal isn't doing anything - the rpms DONT go up) and then it'll kick in and accelerate real quick all of the sudden. Any ideas?

that's kind of what I was thinking too. The wires are good, but i'll make sure to change the plugs today.
How'd you get ignition related though? You don't think it could be fuel?

I had the same problem on my Tercel with the TPS.
Though it held as a pending code and I guess it "worked" itself outta the system for whatever went wrong, b/c it stopped fast after running it for a bit. Though for some reason I don't think that's your problem at all. Check your fuel pressure, and change your dizzy rotor and cap. I'd also change the wires again anyways just to be sure. You've never lived until you've bought defective parts at least once .
Starter went on my dub, picked up a reconditioned (that's all they sell) Bosch starter, dropped it in, no go. Took it back - it was faulty. **** happens. Do a tune up and see where you are from there. Then check your fuel pressure. If all that is good, change the TPS with a known working good one temporarily to see if the problem persists (as it seems pretty easy to test to see if the problem is still there).
Good luck.
