Default shaving

hi id like to shave off the ugly rubber door strips on my 92 civic hb, im pretty much new to bodywork so can anybody help me on how to do this?

does it have to be welded, or can you just shove some short hair fiberglass in there? or will that make it look like crap, sorry for stupid questions i just have absolutely no idea

welding metal plates over and alot of sanding, grinding and from the sounds of things you should get this done professionally even thought it looks like garbage not to mention ricey.

bondo will crack

not sure about fiberglass, probably crack too. IMO dont do it.

Don't do it, it will be ugly. If you really don't like them, get thin moldings and have them color matched to the car, but don't try to ditch them.
