Default Car smoking

Yup it's smoking again!

My car smokes when I hit 8000 rpms or higher. I had this problem last summer, SO this past winter I had all of my oil rings replaced because I thought that would solve the problem. Apparently not. What do you guys think?

Bad Oil ring install?
Bad Valve Guides?

Thanks

What color is the smoke? Maybe it's just running too rich at the high RPM range, and you're getting excess fuel...

it's not that bad I guess

It only does it when if I rev up to 8000 + and let off the gas... and the engine revs down.

If its smoking blue while you are accelerating, its a ring problem.

If its smoking blue on deceleration (e.g. at shift points or when you let off on the gas after accelerating) its likely valve seals or guides. Oil is being pushed down the guides. Check PCV while you're at it.

blue/black smoke : oil rings, other engine oil problems

white (milky) smoke : coolant leak into combustion chamber, has to do with coolant

white=water
black=rich ratio
blue=motor oil
grey=atf

are you able to inspect your car from under neath. check if any exhaust gaskets are leaking water. when a car runs very efficient it produces co2 and water. of course the water is not drinkable. if white smoke appears only at 8000 rpms then there must be some water in the muffler area and/or the resonator. i have the same condition and no gasket leaks and/or oil leaks
