Default 4g prelude calipers

hey guys, i drive an accord, not a lude, but I'm getting ready to do a Rotor-Over-Hub conversion on my 95 accord, and I'm going to be using parts off of a 92 prelude parts car i have. I ordered rotors from work for a 4th generation prelude VTEC because they're 11.2 inches I believe. for what i'm going to be doing, i'll be using the calipers from the prelude as well. my question is, are they SI calipers and the vtec model calipers the same? I need the caliper with the 23t bracket to work on my setup. Can anyone shed light on this for me???

VTEC models have a slightly larger caliper & rotor. You would need to use VTEC calipers to work with the rotors you have purchased.

It's true. I just did the VTEC conversion to my SI. You need caliper and bracket, rotor, pads, and, if you want to keep it happy, a dust shield. The SI dust shield actually does cover the VTEC rotor, but you have to bend it a little and grind off a part where the caliper bracket goes

the CALIPERS are teh same part but the caliper bracket ON THE VTEC IS DIFFERENT. IT BASICALLY ADDS CLEARANCE FOR THE EXTRA BIG ROTOR.

damn caps lock

^^Yea, what he said.

Go to the FAQ Thread and look for the two Brake Threads.

Supposedly the Calipers are the same, just the brackets are different, allowing for the larger Rotors.

Read, Good Luck, Have fun!

Really?? I didn't know they had the same stampings, but I haven't seen them though..

I have read that the VTEC Caliper is larger in every way except for the piston size; are the ones you have the same way?
