Default tires size help

will 195/60/15 tires fit on a eg civic hatch without modification or hammering the fender?

No, absolutely not. Those are HUGE! (Over an inch and a half larger diameter than stock, almost 7 percent larger.)

For your '92-95 Civic, stick with 195/50-15.

You want to stay within 3% of your stock tire diameter, otherwise you mess with brakes, suspension and your speedometer & odometer. For cars with ABS, this could cause major problems as these computers use assume your tires are stock height.
