Default need help on info of displacement

Im planning on building an LsVtec but kinda stuck on deciding to sleeved the sleeves or not.
The plan is using Blox C cams, valvetrain rev up to 9k, Cp 11.5:1 compression, ARP rods and head studs.
Will my stock B18a1 sleeves handle this? or do i have to sleeved it?

you can use those sleeves....it depends how large of a bore of piston you going to use...stock bore is 81mm...
stock sleeves will handle 81.5mm...I have heard stock will do 81.75..

I would do .5 over..wouldnt stretch it to .75..

actually dont bore unless you really need to.. I wish I could have stayed at 81mm...then I dont have to worry about my sleeves slipping when I dyno next sat.

what is sleeve slipping? If you have the money sleeve the motor. If not you will be fine with an 81.5 mm bore.

probally not. I think you need more compression and a bigger bore. Some some of the best bolt ons ever made.

just get a stroker kit..if you go longer bore..you need a longer stroke to balance everything out..

I agree and disagree...bigger bore would help but not necessarily higher compression pistons...11.x compression pistons should work fine.

hmmmm...i doubt they make a stroker kit for LS blocks...bigger bore doens't necessarily mean bigger stroke.
