Compression is 10:1 IIRC. For boost, 10 psi is already pushing it, due to the weak ringlands of the H-series engines in general. You need a heck of a tuner for 10 psi. Something around 6-8 psi is okay for stock internals.

If I remember correctly, F-series trannys and H-series trannys are interchangeable.

All this stuff is in the FAQs link at the top of the page.

USDM 10.4:1
JDM 10.6:1
Blue Top JDM 11:1

10psi not even a good tuner could accomplish. I think 8psi is pushing it even with a spot on tune.

depends on how long you like your gears.

you say you're "boasting"....so i assume you want a long geared tranny...in that case an h23 or an f22 trans will be good. the f22 might be a little too long. md23vtec used an h23 tranny on his turbo beast. pm his ***.

but yeah, that's kind of cut and dry basics. do more research dude.

USDM h22's are 10:1 CR, not 10.4:1.
Regular JDM h22's are 10.6:1.
Type S and SiR S-Spec's are 11:1

That being said, visit the forced induction section of the forum and start reading, search search search, then search some more.

haha I highly disagree. well depending if its basic greddy, fmax, drag t3/t4 kit. I have seen upwards of 14 psi. Not saying its the safest thing but it definatly can work .

i dont feel like starting a new thread for this cause its a simple question, but while we are on the subject of h22 internals, im buying an h22a4 block off a friend for cheap, just needs new pistons. Im just gonna put stock pistons back in it for now till i save up enough money for the boast i wanna run, but do all non-pistons from 92-00 work?
