Aren't those "main hoop supports" a little too high? Because when you put the cross brace on top of them it won't be within NHRA spec of being "...no more than 4 inches below, and not above, the drivers shoulders...". It's in "General Regulations" 4:10. Unless you're not welding it to NHRA spec. Post more pics when you're done.

should have went a little wider on the mani hoop. to fill in all that open space between the chassis and cage.

Great shop, I remember those days. Most of them Country is swampped with snow or rain like me an you are wearing shorts with a clear sky.

Don't worry, most likely you are not a drag racer.

Kits are designed with the interior in mind, that is why the main hoop is a little narrow.

Have fun!

That cage is not legal for SCCA or NASA road racing or track driving. Otherwise looks good.

If i were to try to get this certified though what would i need to change or do to it?

edit: the seat is not bolted in at the moment so the main hoop support bars seem high

If you are going to run SCCA or NASA events, it will need to be made of the proper material, At least 1.75 by .125 wall for all roll bars. You will need a diagonal from the top corner of the cage to the bottom opposite corner and you will need a horizontal bar for the harness bar. If you run a seat that is not FIA approved you will have to have a backbrace for the seat. It has to attach to the roll bar as well.

Pick up or check the SCCA/NASA website for the latest rules for Time Trials and Drivers Ed events. You will need a full cage to run road racing events.

Alright well everyone usually gived negative comments about cages on here. I am not saying what they say is untrure, but all i have to say is good and it is coming along nicely.

It is. If you use the bars like they were intending you to use them...unlike here.
