RaceTrack Noobie, Need Help
I have a 05 Civic, completely stock. The only thing it has is a set of TEIN Super Streets suspensions. It doesnt sound like much, but it helps me A LOT on the touges.
If I were to go to the tracks, what other mods would be necassary? Would cosmetics like a lipkit or a rear spoiler do any good? Would changing the current brake fluid to another type (like DOT 4 to a DOT 5) do any good? Is there anything I need to know about FF drivetrian? How much these mods cost me?
Also, what are some of the advantages/disadvantages of all the drivetrains?
Keep in mind that this car is my daily driven car.

If you're tracking the car while on a budget, I'd recommend the following upgrades to maximize output of the car, without breaking the bank.
Suspension:
RSX Type-S rear anti-sway bar - it's a direct bolt on for an EX, and only requires a few holes to be drilled for non-EX's. You'll notice immediately, how much rear stabilization it delivers.
Brakes:
Brembo Blank Rotors - The added thickness of these rotors can really help on heat dissipation and prevent brake fade in heavy use situations.
Hawk HPS brake pads - These low-dust pads are designed to prevent glazing, which is where the pad leaves a thin layer of residue on the rotor, causing huge decreases in brake feel and stopping power.
Earl's stainless lines - Although not entirely necessary, they do help a lot in total brake feel and consistent brake pressure. (They're only from the wheel wells to the hubs.
Motul Brake Fluid - While upgrading brakes, I strongly recommend upgrading fluids to a more renowned manufacturer. It's only smart, because it'll provide even more brake feel, and better overall brake control.
EP3 rear disc conversion - Another not entirely necessary upgrade, but one that could bring a more desired result in brake performance. Even though the rear brakes don't count for more than 30% of overall braking performance, it doesn't hurt to beef up your rear brakes from drums to discs. You'll get more from them, and enjoy the car that much more aesthetically. If you do switch over to rear discs, then I'd recommend repeating the same process above for them, to maximize their performance.

did you really just ask if cosmetic mods make the car go faster?
Think about that... its dead weight. If a bumper does something, it generally costs $1500.
Screw the Teins, drop a set of Konis and GCs in, then spend the extra $400 on a new set of tires.
You cant use DOT 5 fluid, its not compatable with the brake system.
The easiest and best info you can get is to take a 100% stock car out with summer tires and drive the **** out of it. Learn how to deal with the wallowing pig, then upgrade it. Upgrading then going out just masks over and compensates for bad driving.
You definitely need to use the search button and google, to read up for yourself. Its obvious you know next to nothing about most of this stuff, which isnt the greatest position to be in on a race track. The internet will teach you the answer to almost all of those questions in graphic detail.

Motul is great, as far as fluids go. It's pricing isn't terrible, and has been used in MANY sports as a staple product.
