What should the voltage of a good batt be out of the car?
o sorry
voltages
12.65v+ 100%
12.4v 75%
12.2v 50%
12.0v 25%
11.9v- dead
anything under the 50% mark (12.2v) should be replaced

a GOOD battery should be pushing 14+ volts. my '91 Si consistently puts out 14.7V until the bass hits, at which point it'll drop down to about 12.5 or so. and that's a stock battery...not a deep cycle or anything.
he has the battery out of the car so i wont be 14v, thats only when the alternator is running
anyways, try charging it (also check the battery acid for its specific gravity reading, if you have access to a hydrometer) and if it wont come back up to at least 12.2v then get yourself a new battery
