Worn out door locks
Ok, So I was wondering if anyone who had a DX or anyother version had their doorlock tumblers die on them. I went to the dealership, Ive had the problem for a while. THe key wont always go all the way into the lock. Ive tried graphite. THe dealership said its the tumblers in the locks had worn out. I just hit 60k, and had to replace the driver door lock at 45K. Dealership quoted me $1200+ to replace all the locks so that they are the same key. I have the crappy DX which i Want to get power doorlocks in, so I dont have to deal with this again. Any suggestions????

WTF
Yea my drivers door lock went bad after a year, figured kids f'en with it. I think I paid $20 for the lock and they said +20 to key it the same as the ignition.
If you want power locks, get a kit off ebay and diy. (or pay hella lot of $ )

You dont have to replace the whole lock cylinder and use a new key.
We can rebuild the lock cylinders "so to speak". We take them apart and replace the components and voila 100% better. This is a warranty item if youre still covered.
Civics, CRV's and Elements have this issue.
Power locks/keyless entry wont fix the problem it just makes it so you dont have to deal with it, that is until the battery on the remote dies

I'm thinking I should go out and try my door locks manually, I have never in the 2 years and 54,000 miles of owning this car used the key in the door...
