i have a 93 integra with a b18c1 swap..wen it was done we just swapped the stock wiring harness injectors alternator dizzy and i think the mounts..from the b18a1..then now the engine is bad possibilty has water damage..i know its a downgrade, but my boy has a b16 longblock that he would sell to me for 400 dollars..motor is legit and in running condition..would this swap be simple? just by swapping everything listed in the previous swap..and also im wondering what ecu should i run..thanks for the help

all b series swaps are simple, just have to get the b16 ecu

 

rebuild the b18 FTW

 

yeah i would rebuild the b18c1..if i had the time..but the swap process only takes a day or two..and thats all i got... im not tryna make this a race car..just tryna get it back on the road as a daily beater...i plan to turbo my del sol..so yhea cant be driving that around the place haha..but for 400 u cant beat that price

 

y turbo a del sol when u have a perfectly good rebuiilded b18....use the del sol as the dd now

 

i actually got the gsr started today..i dont think there is water damage like i sed..but the tranny was frozen since it was involved in a flood..that happened in front of my house...but i happen to get the tranny working again by shoving into gear..grinded but finally went it..now its as good as new.

but the problem ive always had since i got the motor..is that black smoke appears to come outta the exhuast..and gas mileage is horrible..maybe 150 to 200 a tank..it appears to be running very rich..compression numbers are fine close to 200 in all cylinders..but the engine runs strong like it should..since i had a gsr hatch before i kno the power..i wonder are the pistons rings bad?..or maybe my valves r bent..or maybe valve seals i have no clue..im kinda a rookie when it comes to these things.whats things can you think of..when a engine pulls hard..but smokes and burns gas like its nothing..

i aprreciate all ur guys help so far..i might rebuild the b18c1..drove it today..made myh del sol feel like garbage haha
