its no problem.

you have tow hooks. you take those off, that big ST brackets bolts to those tow hook holes that are already threaded. thats the point.

I like it overall, I do a lot of autox with my car. You want to be careful though driving hard on the highest setting though. I spun my car out 4 times already, two of them I was playing around and the other two I was driving normal around a turn. Just a heads up, if you put it on the lowest setting you should be fine. This also depends on what kind of tires you have also. Its a worthy investment.

Any reasone you had to weld up that bracket to the strut? Did your LCA's not have the threaeded wholes liek the DA's?

I would think that welding on to the strut would be dangerous. Seing as how your not suppose to expose the struts to heat with them being pressurized and all.

tyson, do you have any pics?? i took my tow hooks out a couple of weeks ago and wondered what i could do. I have an si sway but the mounting holes arent threaded and it pissed me off cause i want a rear sway. I wonder why honda chose to do this? so the ST adapter acually uses those holes instead of the other location?

you took your toe hooks off right? you saw the threaded holes for the tow hooks?

why are you even asking me as if i didnt answer your question???

if you want to use that Si bar, you have to weld your own brackets to make it fit the tow hooks. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1146145

ive also heard of someone taking off the rear bumper to expose the open end of the box frame and fishing a bolt through the open hole and nutting it.

The brakets are the ones above. I have the exact same brackets on my 88std. I just didn't weld my shocks to them. I have koni yellows also and I would never do that to them.

reason why we welded was for the purpose or making sure that there would be no way for the l bracket to rotate around its ONE attachment point which many of the national champions have been having trouble with from our region.

The strut dident get hot at all, with a good welder all goes well, slowly but well and no problems thus far, great results and sitting at 4th place in the toughest region in the nation
