drum brakes
any of you lx owners out there paint the rear drums? i think they look like crap when the rims let u see them completely and was thinkin about paintin them silver to match my car and my rims. anyone who has done this could ya tell me what paint you used, how hard it was, if it turned out good?
Well you can get away with using just about any type of paint. Clean up the drums as much as possible and shoot a few (thin) coats of paint on there. Duplicolor makes a caliper paint setup that would probably work well but I'd opt to just buy some cheaper paint and use that.
Black would look best IMO

ya definately not red, do i have to actually remove the entire drum assembly to sand them down and all that in order to paint them or can i just whipe them down without taking them out, tape off the area around it and just spray?

I have an LX, the drums look like crap no matter what color, Plus the rear drums are so small that if you leave em black you can barely see them anyway. Painting them would just make them more noticeable. If I had to go with a color I guess id go with silver to match the calipers or something...
