B tranny gearing
This is for cable trannies of course. I know as far as the difference between the B16 gearing be shorter compared to the LS, but where does the GSR fit in because I have read about some people saying it has a really long 3rd and a 5th great for highway gas mileage. Would it put the GSR between the other 2 or is it longer than even the LS?
My ys1 is geared almost the same as the gsr(the gsr had a slightly better 5th), for better highway cruising a ls 5th would help. Just get a 4.9 final and it wont make a difference either way
Wrong info, get your facts straight!!! The OP was talking about cable tranny's
The B16A came in S1, Y1, J1 and the newer and better YS1 (found in the US 92-93 gsr, and the JDM Integra XSi mated to a B16A)
The gearing is super close between the S1 and YS1....with the YS1 actually having a lower 1st gear than the ITR S80 in fact than most others
The Y1 had the highest gearing of the B16 tranny's
