actually +45 is more like stock but anything from +35 to +45 and widths of 6.0-7.0 rims should fit fine just as long as you get the right tire size.

185/60 = 14"

195/50 = 15"

205/40 = 16"

i recommend 15" for your car, though.

In terms of clearance around your tires, the best offset usually depends on the wheel width, so you need to take the wheel width into account when specifying what offset you're asking about.

I believe your stock wheels are 14x5.

it isn't that hard to figure out.. let say you have a 15x6.5 with a 45mm offset..
first: You take the 6.5 inches and add another 1 inch to it to account for the extra 1/2 of lip on both side's...

second: You divide the 7.5 inches by 2 and get 3.75 inches

Third : take your offset which is 45 mm and divide that by 25.1 which is 1.79 inches

fourth: Add 1.79 inches and 3.75 inches and that is your backspacing.. 5.54 inches.. That is how much your wheel from your hub to the inner fender sits in.. and the rest of the wheel from the hub out to your outer fender is 1.96 inches.. That is how you can figure out how much clearance you will have both ways.. Anymore Question's let me know

Correct. 205/40-17 is actually a bit too big for your car - 3.6 percent larger diameter than stock - but it's the smallest 17" size commonly available, so you don't have a choice at all. This is one reason why you would be MUCH better off getting 15" or 16" wheels.

205/45-17 is WAY too big (7.2 percent larger than stock, almost two full inches). DON'T DO IT.

Actually, 205/40-17 WILL screw up the speedometer readings, by 3.6 percent, but that's the best he can do in 17".

so if i get 16" rims 40offset, and i get a 205/40/r16 tire i wont have any problems? i plan on lowering the car also so its probably the best bet right, and will that throw off my speedo at all?
