Default 96 Civic Front Wheel Stud Replacement

I have a stripped front wheel stud on my 96 hatch. I want to replace it but Im not sure if I have the right tools to do it myself. I did some searching but I pretty much just found how-to's on eg's and people arguing if you need a press to do the stud replacement on a 96 civic. My question is, do I need anything special to change my stud? Or do I just need to take the caliper and rotor off hammer the old stud out and put the new one in? Any help is appreciated.

you can doi it without a press, does suck but it can be done.

oh, yeah forgot to tell you, if you don't want to do this, you can always pick up a spare spindle at any salvage yard and just swap it out, that's what i did. but don't take to long on this, or your bearing will start to go bad.

I think we are just gonna replace the stud because salvage yards around here dont have a lot of civics. Also the part is like $3 at Honda. I dont have a press but we do have a lot of tools that should help us get the stud out. Thanks for the replies.
