Finally got a header for my R :-)
Thank you Todd C!! I drove up to Omaha to go to the Zoo this past weekend and stopped by Todd C's place to pic up his old DC 4-2-1 one piece header. Bought it for an OUTSTANDING price!
Thank you to Jeff (Budman) and Jim (Batoutahell) for helping me to install today. Here are pics Enjoy
Jeff and I looking under the hood
May not look the prettiest but for the $$, it will get the job done for now
Thoughts: For starters, any of you who have changed out their stock headers can tell you that the stock cast iron header is rediculously heavy
. I saved a good 15 to 20 lbs from dropping that heavy thing. Putting it on was relatively easy if you have the right equipment. Lastly, I noticed a good increase in the mid range and she is pulling really strongly at the top end. Like I said, for the $$ it was a good choice for my next mod. Now I am moving on to a Fields controller from my friend Don in Houston, stainless steel break lines, performance pads, High flow catback exhaust and high flow cat. All in that order although I will install the fields Vtec controller after all of the engine mods are on to get the most out of it.
My suggestion to anyone who purchases a new vehicle wanting to mod it out, WAIT WAIT WAIT until you break in the engine so you will appreciate your mods when you put them on.

I like it MUCH better!
Like all bolt on mods, the more you add on, the more your going to get out of your engine. I think out of most mods that we put on our cars, the header is one of the most important when it comes to HP and choosing the right one is always a hard choice. The DC 4-2-1 one piece was definitely not my first choice nor my last but like I stated earlier, the price was too right to pass up. I figured that I would put it on for now and get something else later on down the road. I can really feel the difference over stock. Pulls much better in the mid and and high stays strong to redline. I also feel it much more when Vtec kicks in compared to stock.
