Do softer suspension settings need stiffer/stronger sturtbars or do stiffer suspension settings need stiffer/stronger strubars?

neither. the point behind strut bars are to keep the body from flexing.

so no matter how stiff or soft the suspension is they will both respond better to thick/stiff/strong strut bars. Also will something like a EM Racing trinagulated trunk bar setup offer significant difference over a single strut bar?

well, if that's the case then IMO, it doesn't matter either. i guess it's really what type of racing/driving you plan on doing. then set up your suspension accordingly.

it has nothing to do with how stiff the bars are. honda has some oem ones that IMO, do just as good as EM, Password, or Carb. and the oem ones are alot cheaper.
if you want something stiffer, chahge out your springs and struts first. then do front and rear sway bars. strut bars help, but the difference is in the sway bars.

I ment strut bars. I alreadey have an EX front swaybar and an SI rear swaybar. I would have went bigger but did not want to have to get the ASR subframe brace. I am also lowered on Tein Springs but I will have stock struts up untill summer, when I plan on getting some Koni yellows. How do the GSR strutbars perform, or were you talking about the ITR ones?
