we'll first of all im finally happy with my itr... (i've been lucky to own a couple).. after car, after car.. i decide to stick with my 00 itr.. we'll this weekend (02/17/2007) im going to be a married man.. well my question is did you guys feel obligated to sell the R.. the wifey hasnt said anything but i feel like its time to move on.. to you guys that have given up the R, did you guys regret getting rid of it, or maybe ended up buying another.. I know its kind of corny subject and all but im just hoping someone will be able to knock some sense in to me!!! THANKS!!!

Huh, why sell the car for no reason. It's actually a decent car for a child seat if you have kids, it's got storage room for projects (depending on how big the project is), etc..

I don't why you'd sell a car without a reason to unless you are sick of it, which it doesn't sound like you are.

If you are a car enthusiast and your wife understands that then there shouldn't be a problem

 

Yea I dont understand why people sell their R... besides being rare, and awesome car overall its no different than owning any other car.

 

same here i hope i get to own a 97, 98, and 01 yes i know alot of money but shesh ill have a collection im hooked

 

I think about buying a newer car sometimes... but I really just enjoy driving this thing so much. I simply DON'T want to get rid of it. I guess, I'll probably keep it as a second car at some point instead of selling.

 

Are you the original owner?
does the car have everything you want?
Clean title?
need money?
need space?
My point of these questions, make a list and see what your answers are. We can't see your needs. Of course we'll tell you to keep it. It a great car.

 

Don't sell it, You should get the wife to buy a ITR...then you can have 2 to play with

Or that...if i had to sell one or the other...it def. would not be the ITR...

 

I have yet to see a post that says, "I sold my ITR last month and I love not having it around!!!"
And hopefully we never will.....

 

Keep the car man! I'm about get married soon also and my chick is totally cool with me having a Type R. She is even cool with me getting another one . It is my hobby and there is no way I'm getting rid of it!!!

 

i got married in october and kept the R.

 

all that money and time into the car!?for nothing?! think about it...

 

If wifey hasn't voiced any objections, keep it! I got out of the game well before Bef became Mrs. Splat, and in no way did she have any part in my decision to sell out.

Do what YOU want to do until/unless it becomes an obstacle to your happiness.

 

Yea its not the wifey.. i guess its just me.. maybe im just freaking out about the wedding.. maybe i've been in the game to long...like i said i finally happy, so i really dont want to sell it... thats why i wanted opinions from those that did sell it.. but thanks to all your input guys .. i guess the best thing is to make a decision when my heads' clear.. i think there to much going on right now to say ah just sell it... i'll keep you guys posted
