leak in back tunk?
I think there's also a plug in the bottom of the hatch that can allow water to drain out.

I'd have a friend dump some water on the trunk lid while I laid inside w/ a flashlight on a folded down back seat. Then go to Home Depot and get your *** some weatherstripping.

Yeah, when you do the leak test, have one person in the car with a flashlight. The other outside the car with a cup or hose. A cup should be fine and won't have water pressure.
The guy outside pours water on the lower suspected place for the leak to be coming from (start at the taillight). if it doesn't leak after a few minutes, try it again, only about at the bottom or middle of the glass instead. If it's still not leaking, try at the top.
If it still doesn't leak and the water in the hatch obviously isn't draining on it's own, then you can be pretty sure it's being tossed up by the rear tires and into the area near the tailights.
