spoon springs on stock shocks or koni yellows on ground control coilovers
which ones would be more sufficent for track use which well give me better handling need some opinons I think just putting spoon springs on would be better but lets here everbodys opinion.
Spoon springs were designed to work with the stock shocks. Thats not to say that they wont work with the other setup, but why spend the extra money when you dont have to?
If you are going to be going to the track...
Koni Yellow/Ground control is hands down better than the Spoon springs and stock shocks.
Not to say the Spoon springs are bad. I have them and I think they are a great progressive spring. But they are not designed for exclusive track use.
Good luck with your decision...

I think that the Eibach race spring is linear so that would be okay for the Konis, not for the stock shocks because the drop is too low.
Basically for the track, you want a linear spring rate. Progressive springs are more for spirited street driving.
Go for the Koni/Ground control. It is a cheap race setup and many sanctioned races have been won with that setup. Call Ground Control and they help you get exactly what you need.
However, if you just want a good/comfortable street setup with the options to do a few track events a year, go with the Spoon or Kg/Mm springs.

I did my first track event yesterday through chinmotorsports.com and i thought my Spoon springs were great. The car feels more planted in every corner. If i was a serious all out ***** road racer then yes i would of probably went with the Mugen Lowdowns or the Tein setup but for the budgeted racer as i am (being in college and all) these springs offer a nice ride both for cruising and pushing it in the corners.
The azenis that i put on a couple of weeks ago were awesome on the track. They were so predictable when they were going to lose traction. I was impressed for the money i paid for them.
hope this helps

It depends what you want. Linear for track, progressive for occasional trak and better streetability. Although that depends what sttreetable is to you. Obviously the spoon springs and someone mentioned Azenis? will be much better for street and much more forgiving on the occasional track day than a high linear sping rate and R compound tire, don't know if your track cherry is popped and so on....

I think spoon springs are a good choice but I like hearing what everbody has to say so keep em coming.
It depends on what you plan on doing.
Do you plan to autocross or roadrace often, if yes, I think the Koni/GC combo will be the better investment.
If your car is a mostly a daily driver and only see the track once or twice a year, I would go for the Spoon springs
That's just my opinion

bilsteins and GC....
inexpensive combo, that rivals most suspensions almost double its price.

I have the Spoon springs and i am not having any problems with clearance issues and i have a DC JDM header that hangs pretty low. I am always careful on all bumps. Having a lowered car while driving over bumps makes you have a whole new driving style driving around town. HTH
