Ok... so I've had the S now for I'd say 4-5 months. I love the cars characteristics (sp) and love the car when driven for short periods of time. I can deal with it for anything up to maybe an hour or so until I start getting uncomfortable in the car. Mind you, I'm a midget and only 5'9. The next thing is the room, not that I really need any more room for me, but rather for "cargo" I work in the IT field and there are times when I need to be able to fit more than a laptop or 2 in the car. Currently my options are remove the passenger seat for more room, or look into getting another car. Well since I like change (at least in vehicles) I've been debating getting rid of the S and purchasing something else. It needs to be somewhat enjoyable to drive, have the room I require and some decent gas mileage seeing as how I'll be putting 2-300 miles a week on it.

So after some thought, I thought I had settled on a 02-03 CL-S 6 speed. Figured it had a little class, some sport and would be comfy at least. But then after talking to my boss, he says to me don't replace the car on a whim. Get something you really want. Ok... so then I test drove an STI. Wow, I really like that car a lot and thought I'd never care for the whole 4 door/turbo fad. But that car really reminded me of the ITR. Now the only problem is I'm thinking about the big picture here. Within the next year I want to get a bigger/newer house. So with that being said, and the price tag of the STI I starting thinking about an ITR again. Now I know, DD ITR... theft... blah blah. So I then thought to myself, why not then look for a NON-clean titled ITR. Something with either a rebuilt title, or a minor accident.

So now that leads me to here and the reason I created this thread. I know this is kind of backwards, but I want to know who is selling an ITR for ~ 16k or less. I know I'm not looking for a gem, but I don't want a turd either. No PY's, I've already got one. What I'm really looking for is a fake (black) one, or a 97. Pennies Hatch, your 97 has already come to mind and I will be in contact with you soon. But I'd like to keep my options open too.

So who's got an ITR for sub 16k in decent shape for sale?

Sorry for the long read and BS, but I think I would be much more happy in a DD ITR again than an S4, M3, STI and others.

I already knew so. Actually the only reason I got rid of 0559 was to complete 0031. Now that 0031 is pretty close to where she'll be, I'm ready for another DD ITR.

They have a couple of salvage titles on ITRCA....

Buy another ITR, keep it stock, keep insurance on it and drive it! If it gets stolen....atleast you know someone that will buy the shell back

 

I found one on page 3 of the ITR FS thread. Black, rebuilt title and JDM FRONT END!!!

NOT!!!

Trust me, I've look high and low. The cheapest I've found without going to rebuilt ones are 22k. That's more than I want to spend right now. I'm not so much concerned with the final price tag as I am of the monthly payment. I need to free up some room for the house man.

I actually hate black cars... at least after a week or so after a wash. What a PITA to keep clean... but damn do they look good when clean.

Oh, and the S is nowhere near pay'd for. I'm only 5 payments deep on it.

Looks to be the prelude wheels. Doesn't matter, I have a spare set of wheels from my other car or I can just purchase another set of something bronze.

oh man, im glad i live in a place were ITR's arent sought after, i NEVER have to worry about theft, no one here knows what an ITR is. good luck on finding a DD R and keep her safe

Well I just heard initial contact regarding the JDM fronted ITR posted. Hopefully I can make this come full circle.

As for having to pay off the S first, that's not so much a problem. I can finance the new car now, however I'd like to sell the S first. But if something came along that needed to be done now, I could do it and just sell the S afterwards.

BTW, is that Jim in the Jeep?
