I'm not sure what your asking so....

It would be a ITR short block with a GS-R head.

GSR head with a Type-R bottom end... That would be a GSR head with a Type-R bottom end.

Funny. I had a guy with a B16 head on a GSR bottom end tell me he had a Type-R engine... When I called him on it, he said, "It's the same ****, it just doesn't say Type-R in the engine code, so it's not a Type-R huh?"

... I got a good giggle.

Nope, you could generalize and say it's either a Hybrid setup, or a Frankenstein setup. But there is no specific name for that combination.

I currently run this setup, after i blew my head i got a cheap gsr head, and completely reworked it..best combo i think by far that u could do... you lose a small amount of compression instead of 11.0 u have 10.8 but flat face valves make up the difference, i ended up milling the head and also using a 1 layer hg, which is putting me right around 11.8~12.0 cr still ona stock usdm block..so ya its a great setup..Stock for stock after the head swap i put down 178whp on a dyno dymatics.

Stock gsr head, stock type-r block..

hopeful to break the 210 mark pretty soon.. but i'll say this it runs 13.8's like no tomorrow at 103
