Stock 1999 Civic Dx with 25K Original Miles and the car has been sitting for 5 years until now and it gets horrible gas mileage...like 230 Miles off a full tank

Exactly what should I change? 02 sensor, fuel filter,.......

No check engines codes..when I got it there was like an 1/8 of gas in it so I imagine the tank was sitting on almost "e" the whole time

 

Is there a CEL?
has the gas thats been in there been stabalized or
have you already burned through the old gas?

 

i already burned out the old gas and there are no check engine codes

 

how much should a full tank get milage wise?

try and change the fuel filter first
i just hit 37k on my civic, and going to be ripping out the motor soon(dont wanna its so young still, lol)

 

I get 280 easy driving in ek, I've even hit 300 if I wanted to push it and still never seen the low fuel light come on. I'd say do some a matinence; air filter, oil, carb cleaner, and tire pressure to start.

 

try and do a full tune up

change air filter, fuel filter, pcv valve
wires, plugs, cap, rotor

also try and use an injector cleaner like lucas

should i change the primary 02 sensor also

 

Could be your driving also....

Seafoam works great also

 

yeah, i've heard good things about that seafoam sh*t

 

actually i use seafoam but you have to be careful with that stuff......that is why i recomended the lucas, its already measured....i use seafoam in my oil, gas, and down my intake manifold......SEAFOAM FTW!!!
