It's called city lights mang... Looked kinda like this (my car)

If you want detailes on how to do it, there is a huge thread on city lights somewhere.. I looked but I can't find it. Hmmn...Thats annoying.

But as for what I did.. I took some 194 sockets out of a late 90's civic, filed the lil tabs down enough so they fit snug into the socket of my high beams.. used some 4 LED bulbs from teh Discount Auto and wired them into my turn signals/bumper lights.

I like em

tyco, thanks again for a great cheap diy mod

one question tyco, did you do anything different. Your city lights always seemed brighter than everyone elses!

If you do it the way tyco described, then yes. If you do it the way mac_24_seven described, then no.

tyco's method: you put a small bulb in the bottom of the headlight housing, but when you turn on the highbeams....they will "overpower" the amber(or whichever colour you choose).

I think you guys are getting confused between drl's and city lights. Most people here use yellow bulbs in their high's to create that jdm foglight effect as well as have daytime running lights. The city light that Tyco did are lights that simply give a low luster effect for like cruising around. Nice write-up btw Tyco!!

Yeah the usdm tegs are the only ones without drl's. I actually have yellow 9006's in my highs for that drl/jdm fog look. I'm going to be also putting in city lights this spring, which will be white to match my hids. My yellows I have hooked up with a foglight wiring kit so I don't screw up the stock wiring. As for my high beams I have hid retro's in with the highbeams so htey still work with the switch on the column to flash them.
