Default Would a 105k mile 01 CL type-s be a good buy?

The dealership i work at has a 2001 CL-S on the lot. The thing drives great. They are asking 12,100 but i think theyd obviously give me a deal. The car is super clean and has 105k miles. The only thing that really concerns me is that the battery was disconnected and the radio is asking for a code. The code that is on the card in the manual doesnt work and the code on the glove box doesnt work. (they match btw) So i have no idea how to get that to work. Anyway, how are these cars with higher mileage?

That milage and price is fine, bring it down a little though.

Make sure a timing belt job has been done recently though first and foremost!

Call me and give me the #'s and i'll see what I can do.

#'s in sig.

if that transmission breaks you are looking at $5K to fix it. These cars eat tranies worse than the 6th gen Accord V6 cars..... I would see if you can get a warranty for the transmission.

supposidly but there are a some 03 owners that are having trans failure but not nearly as bad as the 01 and 02 guys. The 7th gen Accord uses basically the same trans and has a higher than normal failure rate but not nearly as bad as the 01 and 02 CL TL or 98-02 accord guys......

i have a 03 6spd as well and let me tell you these things are fun. I paid about $17,500 for a lowered 03 with 53,000 miles.
(i have a nighthawk black exterior with tan interior and navi which is 1 of only 52 made that year so i do not know if that is why i paid that much)

so in my opinion the cl type s is a but look for a 6 spd.

Check to see if the tranny and t-belt has been replaced. The radio was prob replaced and the code you have is the original one.You can pull the radio out and get the serial number and you can get the code that way from a dealership
