A silly idea...a mono-Y intake tube....
I was thinking about bernoulli's equation, which basically states C1V1=C2V2, where C represents cross sectional area and V represents velocity. This means that a gain in cross-section will decrease the velocity of the fluid, and vice versa.
Anyways, keeping that in mind, what if we were to have an intake with a Y split (the base of the Y would meet the TB), we would be able to deliver the same amount of air with an actual increase in velocity, due to the smaller diameter.
Now I'm sure this would look goofy as hell, but would it be possible? Hell, I think sourcing the parts from a custom header builder shouldn't be that hard.
--ahh, being on vicodin shore is fun.

if i remember right aerospeed sells a dual filtered intake that meets like a y.. it meets further down though like a normal filter so im not sure if that has any help with bring in air faster but the idea has been done before..
