Crahsed into curb, ends up seriose damges.
Hi guys, well im driving down this street, then this guy cuts of the car which was ahead of me, he chose to slam on this brake, to stop, me not having ABS i had to turn into the bike lane but then at the same time i accidently applied the brakes to tight, locked my wheel, drove strate into the curb at around 40mph. Ok end up going to the shop to see what i did, really mad, ended up needs a new axle and control arm, replaced those this weekend, but ends up i go back to pick it up, they replaced it, it needed to be replaced, BUT i seem to have damaged the frame, so not im extremeley mad cuz this wheel juts sits furthure back than the other side, handles a bit worst. Oh and when i had hit the curb i didnt go up the curb, the curb pushed me away. But my question is, would you guys this i did damage my frame or can it be something else, and whats a good inexpencive deal on a frame pull, i honestly got high *** quotes, and that is they first check to see if frame is damage, i visually checked it and the frame looks ok to me... Can something else have gone bad ?
when I hit the curb in my 91 LS it costed my insurance 3800 bux CND. That was front and rear suspensions, sterrtin assembly etc etc.
Its more than jsut bending the unibody frame back, depending on the damage they could have have to cut the piece thats bents out take the same piece off a donar car and weld it back in (like my car) Also if you want your car to be like new ask what type of system they use to re alight/strech your frame back into place.
I reccomend choosing a shop that uses laser measuring system that that your car is back to factory spec.
Its worht the rebuild, take advantage of the down time.

well is there any body shop around here inexpencive to check this out, im really stressing out over the whole fact of how much money i need to be putting into this frame, and hopefully im hoping its something little. Is there any way i could check out on my own to see how my frames doing, and what will happen if i continue driving on this?
if it makes you feel any better... i hit the curb at 80+mph and the car flew/bumped right over it. i ended up bending my rad support. everything else was fine. oh yeah, i did have to replace the rims too. i bent them.
other than that, the exterior looks fine and dandy.

Same problem i bought my teggy with one of the wheels pushed back like that. it was the support for the passenger radius armits the support for your lower controle arm. if you just drive it like that you going to start burning through tires in a couple months. I work at a body shop so i fixed it myself. Fairly easy to do shouldnt be taht expensive.
