door locks question

Default door locks question

i got a 96 civic ex whenever i unlock the door right away it automatically locks by itself what can be the problem???

Alright well your door actuator could be wrecked. You could of gotten water in it while washing your car or maybe water/condensation got into it and froze and damaged it. I would try to solve the probably by removing the interior door panel and watching the actuator after you hit the lock button and see what is going on. I believe your main concern is replacing the actuator.

some one correct me if i m incorrect but i believe this may be the problem

sounds more like a switch or wire issue. my actuator just went out on my 98 ex and i couldnt even unlock the door manually it was stuck so bad. 10 dollar 2 wire universal actuator and a cousin-in-law with his own stereo shop and i was golden.

but try a different switch.
